Valencia

September 4th - 6th



Geography:Valencia, meaning strength, is located on the East Coast of Spain right on the Meditteranean Sea.
Climate:The climate is approximately 75 degrees year round with little precipitation and a lot of sunshine.



Transportation:We are flying into Valencia from Chicago and then we will rent a car to get around the city.

Information:Valencia, meaning "strength and valor", is a city on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. It has been home to Visigoths, Moors, and Romans alike. This has allowed it to obtain a vast culture and many unique cathedrals and gardens. It is home to heroes such as "El Cid" and Pope Alexander VI.



Activities:Valencia is a fun packed city with an explosion of culture. The first main event that you could attend is the annual La Tomatina (Tomato Fight) festival. Let's just say it can get a little messy. The next is the Fallas Fesival. This festival incorporates the use of fireworks and skilled artistic abilities. A third thing that is available is the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciencias. The "City of Arts and Science" is worldly renown for its vast and unique exhibits.
